Social Media Policy - Overview
The “Social Media Policy” (below, “the Policy”) sets forth attitudes, behaviors, and basic principles to be observed by FAN Communications, Inc. (below, “the Company”) and its employees (below, “Employees”) with regard to the use of social media, as follows.The Policy is intended to actively promulgate the brand values and positive image of the Company through active use of social media by the Company and Employees, and applies to all dissemination of information through the official accounts defined by the Policy.“Social media” refers to information exchange services that use the internet for dissemination or mutual exchange of information by individuals and businesses, as exemplified by blogs and social networking services (SNS).
1. Purpose of participation in social media
The Company and Employees will engage in a broad range of communication through social media in order to create positive relationships with society and our customers and contribute to enhancing the brand image and value of the Company.
2. Attitude towards use of social media
- (1) Awareness of responsibility for dissemination of information, and the response to said dissemination
The Company and Employees must maintain a constant awareness that social media can be accessed by an undefinable number of people, and that information disclosed cannot be completely removed, and must be careful not to cause misunderstandings regarding our customers or business partners, and not to cause them inconvenience. Additionally, in the event that the Company or Employees disseminates erroneous information or uses expressions that cause misunderstandings, the Company and Employees will act responsibly by promptly apologizing and making corrections. - (2) Compliance with laws and regulations, etc.
The Company and Employees will use social media in strict compliance with relevant laws and regulations, social norms, and with internal rules. - (3) Respect for the rights and reputations, etc., of third parties
The Company and Employees will take care not to violate copyrights and other intellectual property rights, and, through defamation, the reputation or other rights of third parties. - (4) Protection of confidential and proprietary information
The Company and Employees will not release confidential information or other proprietary information. - (5) Execution of duties in daily operations
The Company and Employees will exercise moderation in the use of social media, ensuring that dissemination of information does not interfere with employees’ execution of their own duties.
3. Replies, etc., on social media
Not all comments on official accounts managed by the Company will be replied to.Moreover, we cannot use direct messages to reply to inquiries.Please use the inquiries page on the Company website for inquiries and comments regarding the Company and its services.
4. Public announcements from the Company
Official announcements and views from the Company are published through the Company website and through press releases.
